Biography
Elyse Everett has been a clinical social worker since receiving her Master's Degree from Stony Brook University in 1978. Prior to that she studied art and teaching at Queens College in NYC. She has worked in a variety of settings, including hospitals, schools, and community outreach programs and has continued her education by taking post master’s seminars and courses. She has over 15 years of experience working as a clinician on several NIH funded mental health research studies.
Currently Elyse has a full-time psychotherapy practice, where, in addition to her postpartum specialty, she helps people with a variety of issues, such as:
- Mood Disorders
- Trauma
- Anxiety
- Work or School Stress
- Interpersonal Problems
- Marriage/Divorce
- Caretaker and Health Professional Burn-Out
